Monogatari is the brainchild of the composer and multiinstrumentalist Sebastian Ungh. He started to make music under this pseudonym 2007 and the following year he released the highly acclaimed record It May Have Seemed Like a Sign of Hope That the Birds Followed Them Out Into the Vastness of the Open Sea. 2013 saw the light of One Step Forward and Two Steps Back?, the first record in a triology. The second one in this troika, It's Almost Like a Dance... will come out November 30th 2013.

On the 20th of April 2013 the record One Step Forward and Two Steps Back? was released and we held a party at Moriska paviljongen in Malmö, Sweden. This is what it looked like.
